Those are gorgeous! I remember when we moved to the lower 48, the farmhouse we bought was full of brass hardware and glass doorknobs. My mom hated it and all of it got pitched. Of course, this was well before the internet, but I always thought it was a sad waste.

I learned so much from PBS. Nova, Sesame Street, Electric Company, Mister Roger’s Neighborhood. That was prime afterschool watching for me. Core memories. Any avenue for learning facts and essential values they want to corrupt or destroy.

I thought everyone could do it.

My feelings on 2026 thus far:

We have three potential Dem candidates for Wisconsin 1st to unseat Bryan Steil, but not a peep. Lukewarm. Timid. Supine. All of them. Yet. Yet! They ask for my money.

I believe there’s been an emergency meeting and the name has been changed to the FWIW Prize.

It is. I’ve been journaling this morning trying to process it. Need to call my senators and rep (two of which will do nothing but deserve my ire), too. To my mind, we are well past the time for walking away from our tools and shutting down the country until the administration is forced to resign.
