Problem is I already married The Expanse. And DS9 before that. And B5 before that. And original recipe Doctor Who before that. I have so many SF show spouses, hope they don’t find out about each other or I’m gonna go to jail. Wait is this thing on…?

(I loved Andor. I wish I could marry the show)

You are correct! That theme was never depicted as viscerally as in Andor, it really put that smack dab in the center where it belongs.

What a rich gift they made us all with that show. Dang

100%!! But not the entire inventory, he’s not gonna waste his important time on any girly stuff

And all that hostility baked into how he frames every declaration of his ironclad opinion. He’s always like “fuck you, deal with it”

I would genuinely love this. I was there when his first couple movies seemed amazing, but I was in my 20s then, those 30 years have changed how I see everything. I feel like he’s still the same guy but worse. The curdled, juvenile ideas about masculinity alone…

Thank you so much for sharing this. That’s a truly god-level diss. But it’s Godard so of course it is

A lot of silver age writers are cringe when they try to approximate young hip people talk - especially Roy Thomas, who was practically a young person himself at the time and still did it worse than anyone else - but Bob Haney really made it into high art. Also, I covet this book

Those episodes are all classics! Have listened to each more than once. So much insight, many good points made and the vibe is so joyous. And Nelson Kumah has the most infectious laugh in the game! 10/10, no notes.
