Many years ago, back in Tokyo I was on the team that used a GSCube (basically a big noisy prototype box from Sony with a bunch of PS2s in parallel ) to render scenes from that in Realtime, way back in 1999. Sony gave us the raw data and it was used for a display at Siggraph.
