That grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt and ominous bird of yore.
Enjoyed a peaceful Labor Day weekend next to Chincoteague Bay and Assateague Island National Seashore. 🐴🏖️🛶

At Point Pelee National Park, standing at the point with southernmost latitude in Canada's mainland (not counting islands). Lake Erie stretches to the west, east, and south around me.

Cape Henlopen, DE. A beautifully under-crowded beach.

Fucking psychotic. I really don't care about *your* Scheiße fetish, but leave the poor kids out of it. Goddamn monster.
RFK Jr. celebrated on Sunday by taking shirtless selfies and swimming in an E. coli-ridden, sewage-infested creek where swimming, notably, has been banned by the National Park Service, thanks to the whole...poop water issue.

The National Park Service bans swimming in Rock Creek due to “high levels of bacteria.”

Been busy, had a vacay with the family in Nevada and Arizona. Spent time in Las Vegas and at Grand Canyon National Park and Petrified Forest National Park. It was an awesome trip!

While perhaps a trifling thing in light of all that's going on, few are talking about how DOGE is ruining Kabosu's legacy. R. I. P.

I kinda enjoy the authentic silence here. It's better than the manufactured, inauthentic interaction that Facebook force-fed us.

For my lucky St. Patrick's Day wish, may a mega-wealthy tech CEO be force fed blood emeralds to the point of rupture! Which one? Let's just say you can't spell 'felon' without him.

Some day we'll remember these as the glory days of Bluesky, before it was a morass of spambots, disinformation, and cranky unfunny right wing Gen X'ers and Millennials.

Read my tale of woe, duly submitted to the Dept. of Education's anti-DEI snitching site: My son's teacher is transgender. I would not have known or probably cared much as long as it was not discussed publicly. But last month s/he decided to give the students a lecture on the sygnomy of entreatied

I wonder if that worm that died after eating part of RFK Jr's brain had any regrets.

Had a nice week visiting San Jose for a flow cytometer training class. Back to Baltimore in time for more snow tomorrow. San Jose last week was much rainier than the photos imply. Highlight of the trip was hiking around Ed R. Levin County Park (pictured), where I saw this Black-crowned Night Heron!

Well, I just discovered BlueSky limits photos in posts to four! A bit disappointing, there were supposed to be many more in my last post. Guess I'll have to spam the rest. Hope they overcome that limitation soon!
