This is chilling stuff. Protester told by the police that holding up a banner opposing genocide in Gaza and supporting Palestine creates a "suspicion" that they may support a proscribed group and so could be arrested for terrorism offences
Police in Canterbury today informed a protestor that the phrase "Israel is committing genocide in Gaza" could be considered a declaration of support for Palestine Action and therefore a terrorism offence.

Wouldn't it be great if someone from the Treasury came out and said that until they saw Clarkson gloating about how much tax he planned to avoid they hadn't really thought about changing insurance tax on farmland.
