Mostly Horror and Scifi, but I write what compels me. If you need the threat of hell to be a good person, then you're just a bad person on a leash. Mostly Andy Often Opie Barney on occasion Goober and/or Gomer sometimes

I sat down tonight with a simple task:

Come up with a completely off the wall premise, something unlike anything I've ever seen or heard of!

Goals right?

Thing is... I think I may have succeeded

The outline is flowing from my fingers right now

It's deep, emotional, and 100% bonkers

Why is the lieutenant "hell bent?"

I think that's key

Also, not sure you need so many commas.

METER-MADE
On the run from the Feds, a mob hitman hides in plain site as a mid-town meter reader... dispensing his own brand of street justice one double parking bastard at a time.

I agree about the guideline

If a film needs to move, let it move

Breaking rules should be the only rule

And yes, it has tension breakers, but it's always on the run, one way or another

Thanks for that, Sean

I'll be doing it!

Apparently Microsoft is scraping everything in Word if you have CoPilot turned on

To stop it:

Go to the Search bar in Word
Type in: Privacy
Select: Privacy Settings
Scroll down to: Connected Experiences
UNCHECK "Turn on experiences and analyze your content"
Click OK

That's it!

You know that "guideline" in screenwriting that says that you need to intersperse calm scenes here and there to let the audience catch their breath?

"One Battle After Another" flips the bird to that idea

Non-effin-stop

Great film. Loved every minute of it. Woo hoo!

This is THAT speech RTD made at BAFTA Cymru on Sunday I kept banging on about yesterday morning. Inject every word of it into your veins. He’s right! If writers don’t feel they can write something because it would never be shown, well, that is censorship at its worst. 👇

It's been a pretty busy #Screenwriting year for me so far, and I think I might have one more feature in me before the calendar flips over to 2026

Most "really smart" people are only really smart with one specific thing

I learned this early working with lawyers and dentists in the 80s.

They become so hyperfocused on their job that they develop no practical knowledge about anything else

They end up cow eyed dull or super douchie.

Thank you, Tyler! I'll DM you now.

How many, "THAT's what a tariff is?!" looks do you get when you gift these dumbos with knowledge?
