Saddest thing is all places where these things emerge - be it Russia, Bosnia, Türkiye, North Korea, US, 1910's Germany or 1800's Sweden - actually have a lot of interesting real history. But some guys just can't accept with history, you got to acknowledge the worst with the best.

Saddest thing is all places where these things emerge - be it Russia, Bosnia, Türkiye, North Korea, US, 1910's Germany or 1800's Sweden - actually have a lot of interesting real history. But some guys just can't accept with history, you got to acknowledge the worst with the best.

Yeah, sure, we can see the mail is sprayed on and DeBracy is wearing polyester. It's fine. It's closer to the real deal than grey and brown leather bracers, buzzcuts, and Sauron knockoffs.

Still blows my mind how some bare bones budget wardrobe medieval movies like Sam Neill's made-for-TV Ivanhoe have way more authentic costumes than most big budget ones, just by virtue of going all in on bright colour and contrast.

That's how a lot of things feels these days. I look at a lot of powerful, successful people, and it gives me a feeling of pride and achievement that I *haven't* done any of the atrocious shit they do.

To say the least. Hatred is a strong word, but I deeply, deeply hate aversion to sincerity in media.
