Hey! Remember-remember that one time you were pretty messed up by off-brand cough syrup, and still had a fever, and you were watching Thundarr?

And remember how it suddenly occurred to you that this was the same show as Adventure time?

Remember?

Yeah. That was cool.

#Thundarr #AdventureTime
I am STILL messed up on cough meds, blah, so this will maybe not make sense?

This is Thundarr the Barbarian, Ookla the Mok, and Princess Ariel (the sorceress, not the mermaid. Sorry Disney fans!), drawn in the style of Adventure Time!

Thundarr is a white guy in a fur singlet and a bowl cut and boots running around a post=apocalyptic earth. HEY! Hey! Did you know "apocalypse" literally meant "an uncovering" back in the day? That's how we got the title of the Book of Revelations, or the Apocalypse of John! Wild, right?

That does soemthing to me, but I don't know exactly what?

So Thundarr, right? He has a cool laser sword that is legally distinct from a light saber, and he has this buddy, who is kinda Chewbacca, but also legally separate? He's a big furry lion-guy with old-timey wrestler shorts, and he could be Jake to Thundarr's Finn, right?

And then you've got Princess Ariel, who is a sorceress with very plot-reliant powers, but she's cool and runs around in a blue swimsuit type deal, and she may be Asian or Southeast Asian, or I don't know except she is cool and very pretty and knows a lot about the world before the apocalypse.

But she's a PRINCESS, okay? And in this picture they are standing near a devastated highway, NOT singing life is a highway, because both Barbarians and I are not fans of that song.

Unless, say, if Florence + the Machine were to cover it, probably not even then?

So! You can see the similarities, right? Or is it just the fever and the cough medicine?

Golly I have a head ache.

My friend Ken once made me write a parody song of Suzanne Vega's "My name is Luca", only it was "My name is Ookla", and it was pretty awful, but I still sing it some time.

Is the room spinning?

Ooof.
