#NOVA subreddit rightfully freaking out about today’s snowstorm. Virginia (and DMV) is quite ill-prepared for significant snowfall from an infrastructure POV. Plowing, salting, etc. are not good. Fed workers are confused on guidance. Can’t contact HR. Mega congestion in DC. Metros overcrowded. GG.

Though not optimistic it’ll gain a ton of traction, putting a clear term, #Degrowth, to describe the necessary broad moves we as a society need to consider to save ourselves and this planet, is helpful. Our house has been very focused on decentering from consumption generally. It’s life changing.
