The cafe where you first had a croissant
An inked drawing of a fictional street. Prominently displayed is "Cafe Piano" and when looking into the bay window there cafe with a large display case of baked goods and a velvet rope outlining where the line is. As you look down the street, it curves off to the left. Narrow and enclosed, it some how feels both new and familiar (if I did it right, who knows tbh) A sketch of the same fictional street. In this version, the cafe sign reads "Benete's Bakery" instead of "Piano Cafe". Many of the details are missing as well.

Study 9: Rotate the cube in your brain
A grid that contains a set of shapes in a cross pattern. The shapes are supposed to be a cube that's slowly rotating, but it is difficult to tell. A 5x5 grid of cubes that's partially filled in. Each square is supposed to be a cube that's rotated at a slightly different angle, but most of the squares are empty

Study 8: Everything is shapes.
Focused on building up everything from boxes, balls & tubes. You can see that the most clearly on the hammer.

A collection of drawings of everyday objects & basic shapes. Most are just basic shapes, but there are a few recognizable objects mixed in: a hammer, a vase, and a cup.

Demon girl :D - Trying something a little different with the background this time
A demon girl is facing the camera with her hand on her chin. She has two large horns - like those of a ram. She's dressed provocatively, and has long elf ears with a set of 3 piercings on each. Also she has one of those cute little spade tails because they are just adorable I swear.

"Project Gutter" is a personal project that I've worked on this year. I'm putting it on hold so, I wanted to share the concept art I've made.
The main menu of the project gutter. It depicts a bunch of cards falling from the top of the screen from several different games. In the center of the screen are three cards that read "new game" "settings" and "quit" A ui mockup for gameplay. The colors indicate the area that is taken up by a particular ui element, such as the buff shelf in the upper right hand corner. The enemy in this mock up is called "Scary Ghost" and it is saying "BOO! I'm a scary ghost! I'm gonna haunt you!" A mock of the world map selection. The player is faced with two doors that are labeled "pain" and "unease". A large arrow with the text "choose" is pointing towards the 'unease' door. Notes have been written on this mock up. From top to bottom they say: "Reward Icons" with an arrow pointing to a ui element on the right side of the screen. "Points in direction of choice" with an arrow pointing to the arrow labeled "choose" "Slay the spire map" pointing to a map on the bottom of the screen that shows the entire route that a player can take through the level to the boss. Each room is indicated with a small picture of what you'll find there. Concept art of the hub area called "a calm place" The floor has a chess pattern, with a character standing in the middle facing away from the camera. Ground is floating massive void. There are two doors in this place - a door with a heart on it & a door with angry eyes. There's a ui element in the bottom right that is displaying the currency that you have on hand. 12 dreams and 1 hope.

Since it's the end of the year, I figure I'll post some of my old art here too. This is from spring, when I first got an ipad & procreate.
A west european street. The building design is vague enough to as to be impossible to pin to a specific geographic location. Through a brick and stone archway you can see that this alley is built next to a pier.

Some random sketches that I did lately
A few sketches in the same image. A couple of them are more detailed, and the 3rd is in a chibi style. The first is a bust of a punk girl, with a knife, and 2 second is of a woman masturbating with her legs spread. the third is the chibi drawing of a person with a shirt that reads "pong rules". Maybe it's a couple and the couple's kid, who knows???

Study 6 - Eyes: A weak point of mine. Eyes just don't make sense in my mind's eye. Circles on spheres makes my brain confused.

A couple things from last week that I didn't get a chance to post yet. Study 5: Figure drawing (from lineofaction.com) and a punk girl.

These studies were done from Sumiko Arai's The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't A Guy At All (aka Green Yuri).
She does an AMAZING job of using precision in her lines to imply detail while keeping the art clean.
Highly recommend you pick it up!!

The art is black and white, but uses a green accent color - which is where the nickname "Green Yuri" comes from! One of the pages of Green yuri. The narrator speaks: "April has come, and my niece's now a third year." Mitsuki rushes into her uncle's record store - slamming the door open. "We still have RHCP CDs left, Right?!" She realizes that her uncle is with friends and quickly deflates. "A classmate wants to borrow one..." "Oh Aya-chan?" Her uncle replies. "Her friend..." "Well, it'd sure be nice if kids these days were listening to RHCP. You know..." Mitsuki is already sneaking off into the back room to avoid her uncle rambling. "When I was around 17 I-" His friend cuts him off. "Wait, Do you have any pics of you from back then?"

Study 4 - Green Yuri. I'd initially planned to do 12 of these, but art style studies light my brain on fire & I need to do something a little easier for a while x.x

The story goes that she was willing to give up everything to get revenge on her ex-lover. They say she wanders the earth looking to punish the unfaithful and abusive.

However, her victims find that she torments the innocent and the guilty in equal measure.
A monster in a dark hallway. It has a humanoid head, but no face - instead you can see right through to the other side. Its rib cage is visible under it's shirt and a heart pendent necklace hangs around its neck. It has no legs or hips to speak of, and instead holds itself up by its arms. I made this account to document my progress with drawing!
Most of the stuff I post is going to be pretty ugly, so be prepared for that if u follow. I expect to post about 2-3 times a week - giving little updates on what I'm doing.
A warmup exercise of circles and lines. The lines are in a criss-cross pattern, across the entire page, and a set of messily drawn circles are put on top.
