APOCALYPSE ZERO (1996); Ashi Productions

One of the wildest pieces of animation I've witnessed. Imagine if you took Fist of the North Star, reinterpreted it as a henshin hero series, and amped the gratuitousness.

Not gonna be for everyone, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't fun.

The kind folks at University of Minnesota Press sent Jefferey Angles' next kaiju eiga translation in Shinichiro Nakamura, Takehiko Fukunaga, and Yoshie Hotta's THE LUMINOUS FAIRIES AND MOTHRA. Let's take a look at how it shaped the 1961 Ishiro Honda film!

Titanious fights on, but victory is uncertain. Ares’ conquest is near. Gabriel seeks wisdom from the mighty Zeus at the top of Mount Olympus, only to find that he must prove his worth in combat... and to himself.

🔥 TITANIOUS BOOK TWO IS OUT NOW! 🔥

To commemorate tomorrow's release of my second self-published novel, I figured I'd share a collage showing the creative process that went into building the hero of TITANIOUS, Hestius... otherwise known by his birthname, Gabriel.

SPECTREMAN (1971 - 1972); P Productions

It's insane how criminally underdiscussed and underrated Spectreman is compared to its contemporaries, despite doing a lot of the things they do first (and effectively I should say).

Super solid show, with some incredible plots sprinkled throughout.
