The dinos did an auditory deep dive into the men and women who discovered the first dinosaurs 🦕 🦖

I enjoyed it but I am more interested in the biology of it all and less in the scientists themselves. Still a good book!

In German they are called sea dogs ☺️

I absolutely love her books and they’re probably a reason I went to study equine science in the UK. She will be missed but Rupert and Taggie will live forever ❤️

Just got my boostrix polio shot because my immune system sucks and we’re trying to boost it any way we can. I am so grateful vaccines exists!
Also got my flu shot scheduled. Only problem is the covid shot, I cannot easily get it in Switzerland without prescription from a doctor 🙄

32 Chunk with the broken jaw won this year. Your picture is fat Albert, who is actually not in the competition since he is a polar bear but is my boyfriend’s favourite anyways. Fat bear week is my favourite week in the autumn season, everything else is just seasonal depression 🫣

Ah thanks! I made the ghosts myself, my grandmother got me glow in the dark yarn ☺️

Yes it is. At the Swiss federal institute for technology In Zurich (ETHZ) you have to take at least one class from the humanities in your bachelor, probably to not create only technobros 😄

Loved this book from Michael J. Benton on all life on earth since life started. It had a few dinos 🦖🦕 but specifically my favourites, dodos 🦤

I think I need to start a new thread or rather a new book shelve on the big extinctions related books 🥹

I have lots of fluffy mammals but not so many bugs… I am unfortunately scared of spiders. but you are welcome to follow me anyways. I mostly post about animals and books I can recommend

It’s so stupid… My favourite thing as a scientist is to write the articles for the research I made. It’s part of the job.

For diversity in research, I would support translation services for non-native speakers, but would also want it to be paid human translators 😬

No AI in research 💪

I’ve just finished #StoneAndSky and I just want to say where is my pet fox? 🦊 😍

Always love a good Pete Grant Story and this was no exception. Already looking forward to the next one ☺️

Maybe looking at domesticated species also helps. The Akhal Teke horse has been bred for its specifically silvery colour, and as this leads to inbreeding we are getting better at understanding colour genetics (even though I hate colour breeding because of diversity loss)

Probably some idiot is going to claim it makes them autistic koalas 🐨 but it’s great news for wildlife! I hope they find a vaccine for the Tasmanian devils too

Ah that looks fun! I used to watch once upon a time… life when I was a kid and I’ve heard it’s also quite accurate. Sometimes the animated mediums are really good

Ah thanks a lot! I will definitely put it on my list ☺️ I will start with the pop sci book from the “in a nutshell” guy but will progress from there 💪

I found out now that the German version is not the original but I’m willing to trust the translation is good 😬
