Man, I saw an article on Facebook about an urban school district that had a major uptick in the graduation rate. Instead of celebrating this, a few people were asking "well what is the literacy rate?" Sweet Jesus! Boomers on Facebook can be so racist!

I am really, really trying to like The White Lotus. I am trying very hard. The acting and writing are great. The locale is beautiful as well. I just cannot stand these people, by varying degrees.

Catching up on Fallout Season 2. I knew Vault Tech were not the best people but wow, they are truly monsters. #fallout

This Ohio State/Miami is reminding why both I have always preferred the NFL over College Football and why the NBA has gained ground against College Basketball with me. I cannot stand the NCAA because they pretend to care about tradition and student athletes but love the millions in TV money.

Not trying to be a plot hole finder in holiday movies but if JLD and her beau were so hyper yuppies, then why weren't they living in a condo in the Chicago Loop, but out in the suburbs? #nationallampoonschristmasvacation

God, the DirecTV Stream app on Android is quite terrible. Why can't YouTube TV make a deal with Marquee and FanDuel sports again. I don't want to deal with this crappy app anymore.

I am almost done with Gen V and I am liking it fairly well. On the downside, it's got a CW teen drama vibe to it, which I don't typically love. However, these kids are a lot more likeable than most of the people on The Boys. #genv #theboys

Apparently DJT took a break from working on ending the shutdown to call a play of the Commanders-Lions game. I guess getting people their food stamps and keeping their healthcare costs down can wait. What a joke! Why can't I get one single day break from this demented clown? Sad!

Just finished #thepaper on Peacock. I really like the show. It's a clear spiritual successor to both the US The Office and Parks & Recreation. My only complaint is that I wanted to know what happened to Oscar's State Senate campaign.

Ah Facebook, the place you find that a lot of people you liked in high school have really shitty views now.

Ah, it's the night before my annual "Wow, Terry Bradshaw looks really old. Why hasn't he retired yet?" And "God, I really hate these Gronk USAA commercials." Happy NFL Week 1 Eve to all those who celebrate! #nfl

The Cubs have the 4th best record in baseball.

Just feel like we need to be reminded of that sometimes.

Random thought while I was getting lunch at Subway that made me think the whole religious liberty debate is stupid. If the Muslim lady can seemingly not judge me when she is putting bacon on my sandwich then doctors, pharmacists and government workers do the same at their jobs.

Reading that the CPB is ceasing operations while I am restraining myself from screaming at the guy with a 2nd amendment T-shirt ahead of me in the grocery store line. Such is life for a red state progressive in the year of our Lord 2025. Alternating between wanting to scream at the same time.

Damn it, I love the Bear. One of the main reasons I love this show is that it's basically about broken people who have made mistakes in their lives to be better. Unlike one of my other favorite shows, Succession, the people in #thebear are rough around the edges but they are still decent people.

Which, I learned this lesson years ago. Come on man, if you want to lead the free world, you got to be smarter than me.
"After months of trying to play nice with the MAGA mouthpieces, Newsom has perhaps come to realize they aren’t interested in the truth," @passantino.bsky.social writes in his Saturday @status.news column about the California's $787 million lawsuit against Fox News. www.status.news/p/gavin-news...

Marvel's Ironheart only premiered on Disney+ within the last hour and already has a 39% audience score on @rottentomatoes.com (Some of the negative reviews were from earlier today) Just another reason why I don't trust RT or IMDB audience scores anymore. #ironheart

I am so proud of this Pacers team. No one outside of their fans believed in them during the playoffs. We were supposed to get crushed by Cleveland and then we upset the narrative. We upset the narrative again when we beat the Knicks. This series was never supposed to go seven games. #pacers
