Sitting at the inlet and a single Brown Pelican flew right in front of me. It landed in the water and floated by on the current. It was unexpected and singular in the moment. “I am like a pelican of the wilderness…” Psalm 102:6

The sound of drips from the trees are this misty and foggy morning’s music. Crows are often nearby but I rarely see them. I kept hearing this one and caught a glimpse of it as it flew near the tops of the trees. My bird from the Lord today.

Loons! Floaty birds always seem so chill. They bounce along on the waves and then randomly disappear under the water! How does their life look under the water? It reminds me of what we show the world versus our inner-self. Thank you loons for the thought today!

I’ve been waiting all winter for the Northern Gannets and today was the day! Blustery and cold, it was a typical March day at the shore and there they were! Video is my iPhone through my binoculars-kind of old timey looking, but gets the job done.

March is birdwatching month in my PreK class. We waited all day to see a grackle. Wouldn’t you know it, once the kids left the classroom the grackle arrived! Why is it that what you watch so carefully to see, often comes when you are not so intent on seeing it?

Chickadees are quick to scold when I am too close to their feeders. Their feisty self-confidence always brings a smile. Oh, to be so bold and yet so delightful!

I come to the inlet almost everyday hoping to see some Northern Gannets. There are many gulls, some loons, and these surf scoters. I realize that surf scoters are pretty interesting birds too! Now, what might I be overlooking by searching for something else? #abirdfromthelord Day 6 of Lent

All the birds were out today! A Brown-headed nuthatch was a bold and squeaky visitor! It was the most unusual visitor of the day!

Day 3 #abirdfromthelord
It was a surprise to have purple finches at the feeder where I mostly see house finches. Such a lovely gift to start the day!
Enjoy the moments you are given, they pass as quickly as a blue jay clears the feeders!

A white-breasted nuthatch greeted me this morning, looking for seeds in the feeders. #abirdfromthelord Day2

This guy should have no role in running our government. We didn’t elect him. He’s not a gov’t employee who is accountable. He hasn’t taken an oath to uphold the constitution or work on behalf of the American people. He’s in it for himself not for us.

No one's blaming Democrats for causing this crisis, but yes, many of them are failing to meet this moment.

One Democratic senator could bring the chamber to a halt. House Dems can go to fed agencies being gutted by Musk with cameras in tow. Governors can push back. State AGs can bring lawsuits.

He disbanded an aviation safety committee... he's got an OMB director who's pushing a hiring freeze & saying 'I want to traumatize the federal workforce'"... he's got an anti-safety agenda..that's why he went the race-baiting route"

Walking past my sliding doors I heard a thud. I turned on the outside light and saw this little screech owl! I turned the light off and then checked about a minute later and it was gone. I hope it is ok! #birds #owls 🦉
