Freshman year of HS I snuck out of school and took the Metro downtown to buy U2 tickets when they played Constitution Hall. I got to the ticket booth right after they sold out. Some scalper took pity and sold me 4th row tix at face value. 1/

My youngest son is super confident and has the wit and vocab of a much older child. I sometimes forget his true age until he's confronted with a new, raw emotion and I suddenly see the small child in front of me. It's amazing and humbling to witness.

What triggers this is different for everybody. Some take a shower, some go for a walk or look at the stars etc. 2/2

Hi Dave. Sorry you're stuck. I think we"ve all been there. You may need to step away and do something else for a while. This will allow your brain to enter its "Default mode" or resting state. A mode where you're not actively thinking about a task, allowing new connections to form. /1
