Strikes me if Mayor Leal is tired of politics and the political process of decision making as a member of an elected body accountable to his constituents –– there's an easy solution.

I voted against the Library cuts and moved a successful motion recently, for staff to report to Council about the restructuring.
There was a media release today from the City — and I’d expect more to come.
Thanks to the community for showing up on this, it’s made all the difference.

The dominant culture of the legal profession is one of huge privilege. I have seen lawyers claim the entitlement to talk jovially about the mundane while others are going through the hardest experiences of their lives. Empathy and emotional intelligence have little value in spaces they control.
