Some children's hospitals around the country are canceling appointments with trans youth due to the illegal executive orders and obeying in advance. They could be suddenly detransitioned and pulled off meds without any medical attention. This is a full blown crisis.

This whole "It's just a distraction" line of thinking needs to die. They are genocidal bastards hellbent on eradicating the trans community. It's not a god damn distraction. This is what they stand for and you're running cover for it by minimizing it.

I have to agree. Telling people how to react to this may be motivated by sympathy, but it also comes from a place of privilege.
“Do not comply in advance” is for people in positions of power and for those not at imminent risk.
This isn’t a game or a YA novel or a Netflix series.
People are already being targeted, lists have been and are continuing to be made, and many are going to have their lives ruined.
This is real.

Really hard to find hope in humanity when so many are so openly cruel yet they are cheered on for it. The devil's work of dehumanizing our fellow humans to normalize mass death and suffering has been wildly successful.
The world we inhabit today is one that is intolerable for those with empathy.
