I went from starting to write one sci-fi book, to developing a trilogy arc, which has now morphed into a tetralogy. No doubt this will eventually become a heptalogy.

I've been DMing a weekly game for teens for the past few months. Here are 3 DM tips that work for my group:
1. Have an option to avoid non-essential fights.
2. Always penalize critical fails.
3. Punish party splitters, reward story progressers.

Once localized AIs can walk, they will develop additional components of human intelligence (spatial, kinesthetic, naturalistic, and maybe existential). The picture still won’t be complete, but the usefulness will be less stochastic and continue to grow.
We are (re-)learning that intelligence is a much more complicated and multi-dimensional concept than just "can solve problems"
