Likes bikes. And technology, but I'm kind of burned out on it through work now. Thus the bikes.
I was planning to go on a hike to Lewes on my day off. Few hours walk the long way round over the downs. Buy a paper, lunch over a pint in the John Harvey, riverside walk home. Forecast had pouring rain and thunderstorms all afternoon at 95%, so I gave it a miss.

Rainfall so far at 3pm? 0. 🤬

Finally said "screw the shoulder pain I need to ride" so got out for a bit yesterday. Three fuel stops needed for liquids! And cake of course. Always cake. #cycling #gravel

Like someone else said ... Watch to the end. Totally worth it.
I laughed so hard I dropped my phone into the abyss under the ottoman

Little ride to see if my arm/shoulder has recovered enough from whatever the hell I did to it. Early signs not good ☹️ but lifting up the bars (glad I never cut the steerer) seemed to help a bit. Cauliflower balti pastie in Lewes 7/10. #cycling #pasties #lewes

Arm still sore so running shoes are the weapon of choice for a few days. Little bit longer of a run than usual, a loop covering both hemispheres #trailrunning #running #primemeridian

Day off and an early start to try and avoid the height of #pollen but the #antihistamines aren't even touching the sides today. Nice day for it though #cycling #gravel Treated myself to a fancy breakfast.

Booked the right day off today. Right out of shape though. That felt much harder than 55 miles and about 3600 feet should do. Worst of all the pub was closed 😮. Bit of a pisser when I was looking forward to a proper meal. Made do with more cake.

Tailwind shenanigans out. Grind it home. Now that I know I can get Guinness zero at The Forge, I'll be stopping there a lot more often. Hope they'll let me back, after I dropped their fork in the Guinness can and had to ask for scissors to get it out 🤭 #cycling #bicycling #cake #guinnesszero

40 years. Seems unbelievable today that they continued to broadcast through most of it. A completely and utterly avoidable tragedy. Those images are etched on my brain forever.
RIP the 54 Bradford City fans and 2 Lincoln City fans who perished in the fire at Valley Parade on this day 40 years ago.

Absolutely loved this story when I first read it in "The Bachman Books". Looking forward to seeing this.

Finally got back on the bike to see how it goes. It is, of course, raining. Just a short, flat pootle to the port kitchen. Not too bad. Put a bit of effort in on the couple of lumps on the way home and was generally ok. Chest is still definitely tight though. #cycling @shoreham-port.bsky.social

Lovely day out there today. Being once again at the tail end of a rotten week being ill (yet again) I at least got to for a walk in the sunshine. Day off booked tomorrow, hopefully feeling good enough to go for a bit of a ride.

Guess it shows what I know. 4-0, who'da think it? Second place in touching distance now..... roll on Wrexham #cafc #coyr
Big day today. Three points would be absolutely massive and keep hopes of second alive. Not going to lie though, it's a big ask. Come on you reds. #cafc #leagueone #efl
