Our GP has had online appointment booking for some time. You can only make appointment requests after something like 7:45. Can't speak for the staff, but from a patient perspective it feels like it works.

Are all GPs being required to have something, and something like the above?

I'm a Brit and broadly ok with it.

I just read @iandunt.bsky.social's great big substack on it, and while I could kind of see what he was getting at it, it didn't seem like not having a system of ID cards would impede the bad people he is concerned about.

They should just tie a weekly raffle in to the ID card, people would sign up in an instant if there was a chance of some cash, a bottle of booze or a chance to kick Farage in the spuds.
