Still there-watched their copy tonight which was kinda wonky-the audio was out of sync. Ironic since it's all about the animation and synchronized sound in the 2nd half of the episode! Might just have to watch my DVD copy again just because 😜

Oh and I forgot to mention this particular episode is actually available on Disney+. It's hard to imagine they actually have something Disney on Disney+ these days......

Ha! I think I had 3 people total come this weekend to see that movie. And they were not 2 of the three 😂

The episode concludes with the entire "Nutcracker Suite" segment from "Fantasia". Totally bizarre to watch this in black & white and mono sound 😲. I think this episode was a subtle plug for the upcoming rerelease of Fantasia that would hit theatres in 1956 to generate more interest in the film.

A fun segment featuring staff composer Oliver Wallace recreating how music was used with silent cartoons. We are then treated to a brief shot of Mickey Mouse in "Steamboat Willie" (with a new recorded soundtrack?) and "The Skeleton Dance" (a personal favorite of mine). 🧵

Why do I even have Disney+ when I already have the entire Vault of Disney on all of these drives?

It's tempting-it would shock my wife if I told her I wanted to make a trip to Vegas-she would wonder who am I and what did I do with her husband!

I never got the chance to see Barry in concert 😔. But I have every album he ever recorded (most of them on vinyl) so I guess that will have to do.
