It cannot be an offense to repeat what the law itself clearly states: Soldiers are not required to follow illegal commands. This is political persecution, and it must end now.

The older I get, the more my politics mature from childish, naïve beliefs like "the world is complicated and leaders have to make hard decisions" to more serious, adult principles like "hurting people is bad and helping people is good."

Rob Reiner, at worst, should have won the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. At best, he should have received an honorary Oscar.
It's possible he turned it down multiple times, but this should be rectified.
