And the message of secret meanings intended just for those in the know is repeated near the end of the chapter. He says one thing to the public, those with receptive ears will catch his meaning, and those in the movement are explained the full message. This is clandestine revolution stuff.

The next two parables presented could be interpreted as instructions and encouragement to his followers: "Now is not yet the time of action (the harvest), but the time of growing and waiting. What you're doing now may seem a small thing, but it will have a big impact. Be prudent and be patient."

Next is presented the lamp under a bushel basket. Jesus is basically saying, "You who have received our message, you are called to action. Spread the word. Prove your worth and your commitment to the cause and more information will be given to you."

Perhaps we don't give The Book of Mormon enough credit for how it compels the reader to become an active participant in the narrative world building of its Biblical fanfiction. Joseph Smith wrote the campaign setting to the ultimate ARG beloved by millions.

Stephen Miller is a hatemonger whose influence continues to incite political violence. It's time someone with power held him accountable. I'm not voting for another politician who does not promise to hold him and the others like him legally accountable. I am now a single-issue voter on this matter.

Historically, the Q15 has been more inclined to acquiesce to fascist authoritarians in an effort to remain in their good favor than to speak out prophetically against its evils.

Trump and other conservatives online are already calling the Michigan shooting an example of the rising persecution against Christians. That feels extremely premature, especially since the most frequent persecutor of Christians is other Christians.
