Hallelujah! It seems Congress knows that cutting popular public programs is political suicide.
CONGRESS PUSHES BACK? Congress approved the first public health funding bill since President Donald Trump began his second term, with lawmakers largely rejecting his proposed spending cuts and the elimination of dozens of programs.

i’ve never been one to shy away from criticizing some problematic aspects of Mormon Stories Podcast, but i won’t deny they serve a purpose and are helpful to a lot of people

i agree with Scoobah—if the church pushes too hard with legal threats, it will backfire & have unintended consequences
This is crazy to me. I don't think this ends well for the LDS church and only generates a lot of bad press while directing more attention to the very thing they're trying to shut down.

Once again, note who they are NOT going after, like *ahem* a certain returned missionary who loves to talk about his church membership on podcasts while spreading lies about immigrants and causing occupations of entire communities. They don’t seem to have a problem with THAT kind of representation…

“It almost feels like [BYU officials] are laughing in our faces after everything that’s been going on. They still feel that it’s appropriate to have forces like this on campus — for a church [and] for a school that preaches so much about keeping families together.”

Immigrants have paid more in taxes than they have received in benefits every single year for the past 30 years, according to new analysis from Cato.

Remember this the next time Trump and his racist lackeys call immigrants "freeloaders."

Following ICE to find and report news is, of course, journalism, but here's something the administration may not know: activism is also legal in this country!

Also, show us the part where law enforcement is in any way obstructed or impeded.

If your first impulse after seeing that a new batch of Epstein files have dropped is to scour them for any mention of "Mormon" so you can begin crafting an apologetic response, maybe that's a warning sign and you pause for a moment of deep reflection.

Again, this is FALSE. Administrative warrants are NOT signed by an immigration judge (or any judge at all). They are generated and signed by ICE officers themselves with no external oversight whatsoever.

Here is a blank sample warrant. Note who signs off on it; an "immigration officer."
