Once completed, Blacksky will remain completely independent from Bluesky's moderation systems.
Since PDS serves merely as a data storage location, how that data is moderated is left to the discretion of the service provider
However, service operators cannot delete data from third-party PDS instances

To my knowledge, Blacksky isn't currently operating its own AppView (apologies if I'm mistaken🙏).
On Bluesky, I believe Bluesky's moderation applies to any PDS account as per the terms of service.

If you don't like something about Bluesky, you must "criticize" it—never "insult." Personal attacks on Jay-san are absolutely unacceptable. If you're feeling heated, take a moment to calm down, breathe deeply, and express your concerns in civilized language.

I've witnessed various extreme replies, and I objectively feel that banning is sometimes appropriate for them. “Criticism” and “insults” are different. Insults are punishable offenses (in Japan, anyway), and I believe they can sometimes lead to bans.

Beyond discussions about “unrealistic sexuality” depictions, I imagine there are various debates about Bluesky in the US, but I'm no longer keeping up. I'm a bit skeptical about shadow bans and bans for criticizing the platform's management. Can you tell me more about this?

Well, there are all kinds of values out there. In Japan, expressions related to “unrealistic sexuality” are quite liberal. On the other hand, the concept of fair use doesn't exist. We feel deep aversion toward things like taking snapshots without permission or making copies of old games.

To be more precise, I thought this was temporary. I also thought it was an issue of moderation in unrealistic adult content. However, I was told that more discussion is happening in the United States. I was given various names as well, but I haven't been able to keep track of them all now.

it's probably rose colored glasses, but the Japanese community seems to be having a better time regardless of protocol (ex: misskey for AP), the tokimeki bsky client dev seemed genuinely confused about all the current drama in the English speaking atproto space and just wanted everyone to be ok 🥺

For now, adoption is pending due to issues with the OAuth BFF (Backend-For-Frontend) response and session expiration. However, we will implement it eventually.

I don't know how the American people feel about it, but I personally believe he is extremely dangerous. He readily interferes in other countries' domestic affairs and even sympathizes with Japan's far-right parties. Yet the social media platform he runs remains the overwhelming standard in Japan.

One thing I firmly believe is that we must never aim to create a lowbrow service used only by a tiny minority who look down on other users.
We have to compete. We have to defeat X. We have to defeat Threads. AT Protocol/Bsky must dominate the market. We refuse to be just a big fish in a small pond!!

Furthermore, I believe the coexistence of these two entities is impossible from the perspective of capitalist principles. One will prevail, the other will lose. The superior one does not necessarily win.
