This whole situation seemed extremely familiar and I realize it’s the exact same thing that happened with both NIJISANJI and Hololive where the first people dropping off from both had the company’s dicksucking shooters treat the leaving talent like traitors…

It'd be cool if a large fandom didn't come to the defense of their favorite gacha company trying to exploit voice actors. Maybe instead of calling VAs who want protections "entitled Americans" you understand that what this company is doing is wrong? Maybe stop being angry at the victims?

For further context twitter added a button that allows users to generate ai images using existing art posts from artists. It removes glaze and it basically reskins the artwork by using the existing work as a base. Twitter is no longer a safe space for art

Like I say, though, while mihoyo's upper brass are obviously trash, I know full well the artists and writers and programmers and such who work on Genshin and HSR and ZZZ are just as underpaid and unprotected as the VAs. And with less recourse. And they all do great work too.
