i’ll end this little brainstorm by just asking what it is, exactly, that the MAGA right likes about the United States, since it explicitly rejects those things that make this nation distinctive — its pluralism, its revolutionary heritage and egalitarian aspirations, and its republican institutions

Readers do not buy books from publishers. At least not historically. There are a few small trad houses and some indie houses that now have direct stores online.

But when a publisher sells a book, they are selling it to *book stores.* it is then the bookstore that sells to readers.

Yeah, my quick googling returned that "vitamin G" is Gratitude, the power of Nature (Green or Grass), Gut health (probiotics), the One Thing Big Pharma Doesn't Want You To Know About (scams), and down near the end of page 2, an old name for riboflavin.

... "Vitamin G?" Is it just my stubborn refusal to get reading glasses, or is that really touting vitamin G? Is it G for green because it's supposedly in spinach according to the sidebar?

Anyway, here's a dozen off the top of my head (only one of which is on the list) that are better for a young Army officer to read than any ridiculous self-help book.
