Frankenstein: Why Mary Shelley's 200-year-old horror story is so misunderstood
As a new film starring Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi is released, why is the message of Mary Shelley's 1818 novel still overshadowed by its success, more than two centuries on?

I've just discovered (albeit late) this rather lovely hardback #GraphicNovel of Dracula, published by Legendary Comics, starring Bela Lugosi.
It looks fantastic and is a wonderful homage to both the novel and the actor who became synonymous with the characterisation of the role.

I've been missing getting out and about on weekends, so I've been thinking about National Trust membership, in the hope I may make a bit more use of my weekends.
Weekends used to be for adventures, which I've not had for a while.
Yes, I will still be ghost hunting!

Such an underrated, sexy and funky album! Although only releasing 5 albums, she remains one of the most great breaking funk artists of the 70s and 80s.

A man wakes up in hospital with his legs amputated. There's a serial killer, a fascist secret army; none of it makes sense. Mad scientist Vincent Price creates murderous superhumans. I fell asleep before the end.
