John Kuceyeski hasn’t played QB since middle school. He didn’t play at all in college and at a point considered law school.

Now he’s Oklahoma OC Ben Arbuckle’s right-hand man and trusted QB whisperer, helping develop Austin Reed, Cam Ward, John Mateer — and now Michael Hawkins Jr.

One Star Review of Waiting for Godot on Broadway
I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything ! have ever experienced —and not in a good way.
What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonsensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried-truly tried-to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.
Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.
To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had - an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

Brent Venables was asked whether he thinks practicing indoors this week will put Oklahoma at a disadvantage this weekend, ad it’ll be close to 90° in Dallas on Saturday:

“We’re in great shape….I don’t think that will affect us at all.”

Added that OU always practice indoors on Tuesdays.

As intrigue swirls around John Mateer’s status for Red River, Oklahoma moved practice indoors Monday.

Brent Venables said it wasn’t to hide Mateer from prying eyes, but given the subterfuge and clandestine nature of the rivalry (at times), who would blame him if it was influenced by that?

OU OC Ben Arbuckle says WR Keontez Lewis' injury "made his heart stop for a little bit," but adds it was great to see him walk in the building Sunday. Has to go through protocol to return, but Arbuckle is grateful he's alright. "When he's ready to play, he'll be ready to play. But idk when that is."
tomasverde.bsky.social
More Ben Arbuckle on Mateer: “I think with any injury to your dominant, throwing hand, there’s a bunch of different challenges that can come from it. I think they’re all mutually exclusive… It all just goes about how he feels, how the recovery’s going, how the drs and training staff say it’s going.”

Oklahoma OC Ben Arbuckle on John Mateer and whether he's been able to start throwing yet: “John’s a very process guy. He’s going to follow the directions given by the doctor, and if there’s any sort of grey area, he’s going to lean toward the darker shades of grey in the recovery process."
