Fighting the urge to be the very, very bestest, most productive professional. It’s actually taking a lot of effort to not ask questions about the agenda for tomorrow’s meeting so I can be _really_ prepared.

Why am I like this? Just rest. I don’t need more work.

The students returning to campus from Asia have brought a lot of various KitKat flavors to share and I am HERE FOR IT

I made it through the WHOLE day being professional and not talking about Heated Rivalry one bit. I deserve a gold star and cookie.

I treated myself to some takeout Mexican food to have one last happy thing before the grind starts up again tomorrow.

I’m really not ready, wahhhhh 😭

One of the joys of living in coastal MA is that in the summer you MUST have a dehumidifier, and in the winter you MUST have a humidifier. 🙄

Was craving a tuna melt. The hubby, without knowing the lore, was like, “well we have that new mercury-free tuna, so you can totally make one.”

Had a dream about my grandma. Still feeling it after 15 years 😞

The girls and I HAD to put on a Harry Belafonte song and have a dance party in the living room, because “Jump in the Line” was stuck in all our heads.

Finally figured out why when the friggin Franks hot sauce commercial came on 🤦‍♀️

Apparently, the dry erase graph board wasn’t just for elementary math HW. The eldest (18) just used it to plan out a room redesign. 🥰

Say the quiet parts out loud. Might as well, when it’s as blatant as it is. (Re: drumpf’s presser about Venezuela)

Happy Mamdani Inauguration Day, to those who celebrate 😉

Happy New Year! May we all enjoy a year of peace and good health, love and joy!
Fresh start, new beginning, and hope- that’s the attitude I’m bringing into this new year.

Want to know how I know that I’m winning at parenting?

When I said to my daughter, “bubbeleh.” She replied with “mammeleh.”

I’m feeling a level of ‘meh’ right now that only hot buttered toast can fill.

(Yet another sign I might be Frog or Toad)

Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But my house smells like chili because I made chili.
Yay!

Dinner tonight: veggies, veggies, veggies, cheese and crackers.

Love my MiL’s cooking, but I’ve had enough meat and potatoes over the last two days to suffice for a week- glad to be home to cook what makes me happy.

“White Christmas” with the family on Christmas Eve. I can handle this. 🥰

Doing the Christmas Eve with the hubby’s family is socially exhausting. It’s not a negative situation, just draining.

I had a good time celebrating Hanukkah with my parents on Saturday, enjoyed taking my teens to see the Nutcracker today in Boston (despite the frequent sibling bickering), but now it’s time to mentally, physically, and emotionally prepare for Christmas Eve tomorrow with the in-laws. 🧘‍♀️

I mean, the thing is, and I keep telling people this, I am SUPER lazy, so why would I learn how to prompt "AI" to write in a non-"AI" way when I can just naturally write in an engaging, human style? I doubt there is ever going to be a point where adding "AI" to the mix isn't just extra work for me.
I just saw a great take on writers using "AI" - people don't like to read something that's clearly written by "AI", so we need to respect that and make sure it seems natural.

So...put as much effort into tricking people into thinking we made an effort as we would into actually writing. Outstanding.

For some reason, today’s sunlight looks cold to me. And it’s well in the 40s, so definitely not as cold as it has been. Weird.

Last night, I dreamed that my teeth were starting to spontaneously fall out.

I can’t remember ever feeling so relieved to wake up and realize something was a dream.
*shudder*

At the family Hanukkah party- stuffed as usual, and the heavily laden dessert table is sooooooo tempting. #latkes #falafel
