Hot take: JJ Starling’s game is mostly empty calories. He puts up ok stats that look good on paper but his game is inefficient and flawed. It’s not all his fault but he’s not as good as his numbers indicate. He gets a lot of leeway because he’s a local product.

Time to unpin this post. Autry has to go. It’s getting embarrassing. If things get much worse, they’re going to have to think about firing him in-season.
I’m not “Pro-Autry.” I don’t think he’s doing a very good job. He’s trying, but the results just aren’t there. That said, he’s going to get next year. Things will have to markedly improve for him to stay beyond that, but they’re not going to let him go now.

I understand that keeping the head coach and firing the GM creates a power dynamic that isn't sustainable. In that case, fire both of them!
Beane whiffed too many times in the draft and free agency, and compounded those issues by putting the team in cap hell. He doesn't deserve to stay either!

Beane got promoted! Keon Coleman was a healthy scratch multiple times. Darius Slay never reported. Two of Beane’s free agent signings were popped for PED before playing a down. Josh Palmer and Curtis Samuel account for $20m against the cap in 2026. The list goes on and on. I’m incandescent.
