I suspect those who are cold on the movie will generally think it’s “too much.” Due respect, it’s not enough. Go full teary-eyed, sweaty, sexy, rip-roaring, gothic melodrama and I’m right there. This movie teases the idea of it without really committing to the bit. Sorry.
