I mean obviously it’s largely children but interestingly enough these films are also popular with certain demographics within the progressive left for the perceived anti-colonialist, anti-capitalist & environmentalist themes therein. I broadly get it but it still just looks like the Smurfs to me.

‘Might’ lose, like Lucy might not move the football before Charlie Brown kicks it. That’s the spirit.

Also I think in the modern era you’ve just got to think as all the leagues as one big table so whatever happens this season we’ll finish above where we finished last season etc. #lufc

If I know anything it’s that you can definitely stake your emotional wellbeing on the England test cricket team touring Australia, can only end well.

I heard he has a release claws.

Yeah this is why I’d prefer Yorkshire clubs to be doing well also. On the whole I struggle to care about much beyond Leeds doing well & Scum doing badly, which is based on my formative years in the early 90s & difficult to shake.

Honestly if they’re in a different division it doesn’t matter to me, I struggle to keep up. Recently Yorkshire clubs haven’t been that successful so for sheer variation it’s interesting to have them in the PL.
November 15, 2025 at 11:59 AM
Nah don’t really care in general.

I'm aware that having not lived in Yorkshire for a long time my opinion quite rightfully counts for exactly fuck all but in all honestly, I'm not fussed about local rivalries apart from when we're in the same division. Largely wish Yorkshire clubs well when they're not competing with us. #lufc

My earliest memories are of Elland Road, which I contend is much worse & longer lasting form of abuse. #lufc

Namely because it is always that time of the month for Leeds fans. #lufc

All players make mistakes, it's virtually never down to lack of effort at this level.
November 10, 2025 at 11:24 AM
Disagree entirely, think the players are trying their best against very stiff opposition.

1.85ppg as Castellon manager btw. 🥹

I really haven’t seen us set up not to lose even once this season, I actually would prefer that to what we’re doing, which doesn’t seem nearly resolute enough. I really do think we’re trying to win games, which is of course a bit galling.

Think this might be how we ended up with Bijol.
November 9, 2025 at 7:54 PM
All we have to go on is what the people actually there are saying & both the manager & the Captain have said that's not the case. We scored first today. I think we have more wins in us, it's not a done deal yet.
November 9, 2025 at 7:53 PM
I feel like Corberan is a big swing & he's currently in a job so it's a moot point as it stands. Not sure based on his experience he's worth sacking Farke for either. You want it to be someone with a broadly similar track record or better & I can't think who that would be right now.
November 9, 2025 at 7:52 PM
We're actually not mediocre by any sensible definition of the word though, we're doing okay in the very top league in the whole world. Accepting the reality of our situation - that we're currently at a significant financial disadvantage for myriad reasons - is a sensible position to occupy.
November 9, 2025 at 7:49 PM
Better to ask forgiveness than permission etc.
November 9, 2025 at 7:44 PM
Be fair - we have scored some goals (not as many as we'd like) & we have presumably stopped most crosses into the box thus far (though not as many as we'd like, again). It's a very tough league indeed.
November 9, 2025 at 7:44 PM
I think we have been trying to win games, it just hasn't worked out for obvious reasons - ie, we're a newly promoted side in the single toughest league in the world.
November 9, 2025 at 7:40 PM
It's worth remembering we have a lot of new players & quite a few with little to no experience of playing in the PL. There's a chance they will adjust & gel as a side yet, over the course of the season. Don't think it's quite panic stations just yet.
