Henderson was brought as a young kid by Dalglish. The fans didn't rate him and Roger's tried to sell him to Fulham as a make weight in a deal for Clint Dempsey. He refused and decided to fight for his place. Ended up a great player for the Reds ( ask Stevie G) became a wonderful captain who led us

I was on the kop when Leeds clinched the 1st division in 1968/69. It was a nil nil draw and if Liverpool had won they still had a chance of winning the title. The whole ground stayed behind to applaud Leeds off. Revie sent his team to the kop who gave them a standing ovation. Revie praised our fans.

It was a brilliant day! Rained all the match and we were always taunted by Blues for not winning the cup.
I remember Jimmy Tarbuck wearing a red rosette while Frankie Vaughan ( a scouser) sporting a white rosette ! ( I think his wife was from Leeds).
Also G Byrne playing with a broken shoulder.
