Hell yeah.
One reason this became a pet card is because it's one of the Mirrodin block cards that had specific tokens commissioned for it but never printed, so this wonderfully weird pinchy boy (notably not an artifact itself) does not actually exist in paper:

Could also be they are just covering their backs against shenanigans with Werewolf Pack Leader and stuff like Maskwood Nexus, since that does provide a relatively easy way to remove "Human" as a type specifically (and even gives Trample).

Went 2-1! Won my final game off a 2/2 Cinder Cloud connecting to then destroy a white creature for that last couple points of burn. Wild times.
