Living with Parkinson's since 2015, Ambassador for World Parkinson's Congress. Advocating for PWPs on a global scale. Parkinson's chose me? It chose the wrong person!
Kate Wilkinson.
I have taken Tony’s post to highlight the important role carers play in enabling the PWP to live a better life through the support we give and which we ourselves often fail to recognise. See clip.

the Dylan bio-pic "A complete unknown" it was brilliant (10/10 from us). Now, back in the hotel, a pint and bed read for the job tomorrow.

We had a good journey up to Dublin, a certain someone snuck into the rucksack for the trip. At the weekend gone, I rang many of the TDs and senators from Cork. Inviting them to the NAI meeting tomorrow in the AV room in Leinster House. This evening, we went to the Savoy cinema to see

stopped him as porridge mixed with broken bowl do not go well together. Hey, as they say, let's not cry over a spilt porridge, this is a sometimes normal story with PD.
Let's end on a happy note, it's a lovely day and our daffodils are now starting to show, and the tulips are pushing up.

CRASH, BANG, WALLOP, you'll get the picture. It's a normal morning, making the breakfast (porridge). Me slow starting the coordination motor. Lifting bowl of said porridge, next thing it's on the floor everything everywhere.

I'm not looking to see how many people will follow me (never my agenda). I'm looking for an inclusive community that is accepting and caring. If that is you, welcome. Let's find each other.

Good morning. It's good to be here on the bluesky Social Media platform. It was not a difficult choice as I personally found the other platform toxic. All I'm looking for is a safe, open, honest place that I a person living with Parkinson's can share safely and without prejudice.

neurological condition and general bedside manners. At the weekend, I received an email inviting me to work with UCC with 1st year medical students onwards. I made the call, and it's now set in motion. On a personal note, I'm delighted to be involved in helping future doctors.

A YEAR AGO TODAY.
My phone threw these pics at me this morning from a year ago. Kevin Quaid and I were talking to 3rd year medical students at University College Cork (UCC). It is part of the course to have people with lived conditions approach the topics of diagnosis of a

Sack 1, Honesty.
Sack 2, Respect.
Sack 3, kindness.
Sack 4, Empathy.
In they went and were crushed. I feel we are losing all of the above.
The one thing we are keeping is the picture of the candle we lit at mass yesterday. It was for HOPE and humanity.

PRAYED FOR HUMANITY, MORALITY, KINDNESS, AND OUR PLANET.
This morning, I lit a candle of hope, knowing that millions are petrified of the coming event on Monday.
I was once told
"It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness." I chose to light a candle.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
To my darling wife Kate, I'm truly blessed in having Kate in my life. Kate helps many people living with Parkinson's and runs a quarterly meeting for carers, and a lot more, which is greatly appreciated.
As a treat, I booked lunch at Hayfield Manor.

ACT OF KINDNESS.
A large gritter lorry came along our lane, not on his schedule, stopped at the top of our drive. The driver walked up to our front door, knocked, and delivered a sack of road salt. This was a lovely act of kindness.
In late 2019, his father, who had Parkinson's, passed away.

Love and best wishes.

Kate and I have decided to become a butterfly 🦋 and will have left the other platform come January's end. I'd rather enjoy and choose my conversations, then have rubbish forced onto me.
I will always advocate for all PWPs, fighting for the best care and standards, who ever.
