Ah, so that's where Saddam Hussein's former interior decorator went after that last job for Trump.

We had this discussion already, stay away from the marshes, they're full of corpses. Back in the old days they just stacked them in there, with weapons and armor and everything. When they rise from the dead they're armed!

Sweet! A compact HF radio on the bedside table is something we all should aspire to.
tonyingesson.bsky.social
Nice! Any special features except being quite portable and compact?

Nästa uppslag kanske blir: "Spökrenovering: hur du fräschar upp andar och gastar till att bli charmiga inslag i din nyinköpta bostad"

Procrastination is an underappreciated art. The amount of things I've learned while procrastinating!

Yes, anti-cheat software can be a pain. Then again, all the more reason to play Armored Brigade II instead. Lots of Finnish content... (the vanilla install is wildly disproportionate in terms of Finnish scenarios/campaigns, which we of course love to see).

You could get Linux on Apple hardware, I think. I've been able to install it without much effort on everything I've tried from Apple (Powerbooks, iMacs, Mac Minis, etc.), although I haven't tried it on any M2 hardware.

It's a nice way to get a few extra years out of deprecated Apple hardware.

Typiskt.

True, but I didn't particularly like MacOS either after Snow Leopard. Too much lock in for my taste. But I would take it over Windows, that's for sure.
tonyingesson.bsky.social
Also, last time I had to upgrade my motherboard in this machine I could just pull out the old motherboard and CPU (I replaced the GPU too while I was at it) and reboot. Linux Mint booted up just fine, integrated drivers kicked in, everything just worked immediately.
tonyingesson.bsky.social
This is why I haven't touched Windows or MacOS for neither work nor private use in more than a decade. No bloatware, no ads, drivers are nicely integrated (I don't even have to go to the Nvidia website to get my graphics card drivers).

In fact, I can install as many different versions as I want in parallel. The installer is set up for it if I want to (but it can also handle everything automatically). Then I set the new install to use my old home partition and now I have all my settings and files accessible again.

It's amazing how easy everything is when you have an operating system that's neither built for profit nor surveillance. No license hassle. I could easily wipe an old unused partition, install in it, and reboot. The previous Linux Mint is still there in case I want to go back for some reason.

I noticed that the version of Linux Mint that's on my stationary home computer (which I don't use much, it's mostly my son who uses it for gaming and watching YouTube) had reached the end of its supported life, so it was time to upgrade. I went for a new install and it was just so easy and smooth.

According to my colleagues, telomeres could also be synthesized quite easily.
tonyingesson.bsky.social
Yes, and the new ones can be significantly more difficult to locate and track (illegals, temporary assets without direct affiliation operating semi-autonomously, etc).

Dangling double agents in front of them is another potentially very useful tactic. It provides a conduit to feed them false information, makes them waste their time and reveal intel priorities, etc.

Another important thing is to remember that Russian diplomats are excellent targets for surveillance. The diplomats themselves are not the main problem, finding the traitors they recruit is (and this is where it may be very useful to track the diplomats).
