Without a justification Repubs would just reverse when back in power.
A tied SCOTUS means lower court ruling stands(TX Gerrymander would be illegal) without setting precedence.
POTUS SCOTUS picks would always be election issue until we vote our way out.

How is this even a possibility? If they rule against, isn't the rest of the Constitution out the window as well? Including anything giving their decisions any weight or power?
Time to add 3 Justices! One for each regional circuit & District Court of Appeals.

"Qualified Immunity" - It's why there is rampant abuse of authority. In fact, it's been around so long it's created the culture that is antithetical "to protect and serve."

There's an eye thing that happens with the elderly, life recedes from their eyes. They're no longer living through their sight.
I don't mean actual eyesight, but how they engage the world. They're only existing in their own mind now.
