Rae, nothing I can say on here can some up how highly I thought of your good man. A true gent and one of the first “strangers” I interacted with on Twitter. Sending all my wishes, and I will most certainly raise a beer to him whilst listening back to a Jumpers for Goalposts to a pod. Take care ❤️

Hopefully this dispels the myth once and for all that Pep is a chequebook manager.

Remember you mentioning Lamine previously but not seen much of him. Big fan of Varela, think he’s superb. Keen to see who we go for. Surely Edwards won’t allow such a glaring gap going towards with that and LB.

From what I have seen I’d have him nowhere near the 6 at LFC. The whole point of us getting a 6 is to have someone with some defensive nous (ideally positionally alongside being a ball winner when needed) and I wouldn’t note them being strengths of his from what I know of him.

Fair. Really need to try watch Serie A. Think I’ve pretty much got my heart set on Baleba and although we 100% need a DM in Jan, I’d actually wait till summer for him. Anyone you would go for in the meantime as a long term squad 6? Let’s say Dom/Curtis/Mac/Grav as the 8s/10s I’d ideally like 2 6s.

So lets think both physical attributes and footballing ones. Disclaimer, all respect will be lost if Jose Enriques name isn’t referenced for the plonking his arse between the opposition and the ball attribute to shield it.

I hope the surgery all goes well for you and it gets sorted out. Shouldn’t have gotten to this point!

They fobbed her off repeatedly and didn’t like being questioned by someone who “had been retired 20 years”. Neurosurgeon confirmed to us 24 hours after stroke the medication she didn’t want to be on was certainly a factor in how severe the stroke has been. It’s heart breaking she knew it was coming.

My faith in medical professionals is at an all time low. My mum (who worked as a haematologist for 30 years so knows her stuff) has been saying to her GP she didn’t agree with the medication she was on and it was putting her at risk. 8 weeks ago she had a major stroke and may pass. She was right.

Hope work was alright! Probably saved you some stress not sat watching at home!

Thank you, I appreciate that Mark! Watching the match today?

I’d never usually post anything like this. Only about 10 of my friends know what’s happened. But with BlueSky seeming a much nicer place it’s just a message for people to make the most of every moment with love ones. It all can change so quickly.

Whether she’s strong enough to battle on to meet baby in April is another matter, but could not be prouder of her getting to this stage. Regularly stopping myself tearing up over knowing she’s eaten a yoghurt that day is certainly draining so can’t wait to give her some nice news.
