“America, where are you now
Don't you care about your sons and daughters
Don't you know we need you now
We can't fight alone against the monster” -Steppenwolf , Monster, Suicide, America… it’s sad how relevant this song is 55 years later. #tapetuesday #hifi #soundesign #8tracktape #analogsounds

I’m celebrating Tape Tuesday with one of my Akai GX-365Ds. I love the auto reverse function on this. A highly versatile machine, it can play and record at all 4 speeds. A great estate sale find. #reeltoreelaudio #hifi #akai #vintage #tape #audiotape #1970sdesign

3 more consoles collected in 2020. A wall mounted 1969 Nutone Solid State Stereophonic Music Center, a 1961 Magnavox mini Imperial and a 1963 GE bookshelf tube stereo. I love a good record changer. The tube amp Imperial is the sound superstar here.

His designs for Jimi Hendrix, the Who and others embodied the spirit of the psychedelic era. He also created images for stage shows like “Godspell.”

In 2020 we acquired the first of our consoles. A 1954 Zenith with Am/ FM Cobramatic record changer. Warm sound but Mono and only safe to play 78s. One side of the bottom is for storage.

These were my first two listening stations back in 2017. The last Sony turntable sold at my local Sears and a former school used Califone that I found at a tag sale. Can you imagine only having 2 record players? #hifi #recordplayer #stereo #flashback
