Deputy Speaker Mike Johnson joked, “I’m not really a speaker of the House.”

Except it wasn’t really a joke. That was the most honest moment of his interview.

The National Park Service says your park pass is invalid if you cover Trump’s face with a sticker.

National parks used to protect glaciers and wildlife but now they’re apparently responsible for protecting one man’s feelings.
National Park Service will void passes with stickers over Trump's face
The use of an image of Trump on the 2026 pass — rather than the usual picture of nature — has sparked a backlash, sticker protests, and a lawsuit from a conservation group.

This is reckless and counterproductive.

Walking away from global institutions does not make America stronger, it makes us absent.

When the U.S. quits climate, development, and conflict-prevention bodies, the vacuum does not stay empty. China fills it and expands influence.
Trump withdraws US from key climate treaty and dozens of other groups
The White House says the decision was taken because those entities "no longer serve American interests".

We can restore judicial independence and address the ethical failures that are eroding trust in the Supreme Court.

Reasonable term limits would do both by lowering the political stakes of each nomination while remaining consistent with the Constitution.

Taxpayers shouldn't have to rebuild Venezuela’s broken oil industry.

That’s a giveaway to Big Oil, not relief for families at home.

I’m introducing legislation to ban U.S. taxpayer dollars from subsidizing foreign oil infrastructure.

If oil companies want in, they can take the risk themselves.

I’ll never stop fighting for your healthcare. But yesterday's win only happened because you spoke up, shared your stories, made calls, and demanded action.

Yesterday proves that when you push, Congress moves.

Important, must-read piece written by one of my constituents:

“The greatest danger is not a single leader, but a collective moral drift — a human capacity for dehumanization when norms collapse. Leaders do not invent this darkness; they unlock it—
Trump Hurled A 2-Word Insult. It Revealed Something Deeply Troubling About Him — And Our Country.

Stephen Miller is the shadow President of the United States.

Elected by absolutely no one.

Yet he is pushing legally extreme and morally callous policies that upend countless lives.

This is not how a democracy is supposed to work.

I’ve been working on the Tijuana River sewage crisis since I first got to Congress, because local families have lived with the consequences of federal failure for far too long. 🧵

Here’s a story flying under the radar that should alarm everyone. Trump’s EPA is considering tying its own hands so it can’t update air pollution rules even when new science proves chemicals are far more dangerous.

This is really stupid.
Trump’s EPA Could Limit Its Own Ability to Use New Science to Strengthen Air Pollution Rules
In government records that have flown under the radar, the EPA is questioning its legal authority to revise pollution rules more than once when new science shows unacceptable health risks.

The War Powers Act isn’t “fake” or unconstitutional.

It rests squarely on Article I, which gives Congress authority over war.

What’s fake is JD Vance pretending that ignoring the law makes it unconstitutional.

The Trump administration killing offshore wind projects like this is economic malpractice.

Revolution Wind was 87% finished before Trump’s hatred for wind power pulled the plug. Delays are burning $1.4 million every single day.

Attorney General William Tong's filing follows the project developers' request for an immediate injunction, which was filed Friday.

As I look back on the years since I was shot, I’m reminded of how much is possible when we reach across divides and find common purpose. Together, we built a movement to end America’s gun violence crisis and have passed more than 820 gun safety laws across the nation.

This is dangerous and dumb. Weakening childhood vaccine recommendations will confuse parents, lower vaccination rates, and invite outbreaks of diseases we know how to prevent.

Measles, flu, and meningitis don’t care about politics.

Kids will get sick, some may die, all for no medical benefit.

Threatening Greenland strains our alliances and makes the world less stable.

Trump is now refusing to rule out military force against a treaty ally, an extraordinary and dangerous step that pulls focus and resources away from the problems Americans actually face.

We need to end lifetime appointments to the Supreme Court.

For a court that shapes our rights for generations, concentrating power indefinitely undermines public trust.

I’m backing legislation for 18-year term limits and regular appointments to restore balance and accountability.

This nonsense revisionist history doesn’t change the fact that a violent mob attacked the U.S. Capitol to stop a lawful election, injured officers, threatened lawmakers, and came within moments of far worse but for the bravery of law enforcement.

Let me get this straight: the Trump Administration is “running” Venezuela while millions of Americans are facing higher health care costs and losing coverage at home.

How is that America First?

It’s been 5 years since the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

I remain in disbelief that this Congress still has not found the political will to do something as basic and decent as installing the plaque to honor the officers who protected us.

Five years ago, I started the morning of January 6, 2021, in my Washington office like any other workday.

I had been sworn in just days earlier to the 117th Congress.

I was preparing to do one of the most basic jobs required of a Member of Congress:
