Behind the scenes photograph of the first (surviving) animated cartoon in Estonia, 1931’s Kutsu Juku seiklusi.

Fun fact: The director, writer, and camera operator, Voldemar Päts, was the nephew of Estonia’s first (and only for a long time) president, Konstatin Päts!

It's incredibly frustrating to see multiple prominent filmmakers and industry veterans caving in and saying that we all just have to accept AI as the future of the artistic process now.

I'll stick to making things with my rotting hands and brain!

I have two rules when it comes to making expressions for Rosebuds:

1: Each sister has their own unique reactions. Rarely will there be overlaps.

2: No matter how cartoony the expression, it has to make some sort of sense in context for it to be used. Unless the reason is because it's really funny.

"Colonial Capers" by Joe Escourido, 1970-1975
May 7th, 1975 as seen in the Helena World
Comic strip "Colonial Capers." A reverend asks a man who college is going. We learn he's taking English, because he already knows how to speak it. Not exactly taking advantage of the strip's colonial America setting. Originally called "The Colonials," before changing its name in 1973.
