It stretches its neck high above a plateau at the volcano's mouth, where a tiny humanoid kneels in reverence, almost imperceptible in comparison. The sky is dark and filled with smoke. On either side of the dragon's neck, it raises the clawed tips of its wings as it preparing to climb out.

The other two have found their place in the cosmos ♡💫

Four adoptables sharing the same base, each with a different design. All have antlers, tiger heads and bodies, blank glowing eyes, and snakes for tails.

The first, Lunar Body, has a coat that reflects the night sky; a deep indigo filled with stars. Wispy white stripes mark its back and thighs. Down the center of its face are large moon phase markings. The antlers have three tines each; a white mote hovers in one crown on either side. Its tail is a red cobra with the same blank white eyes as the tiger.

The second, titled Dark Star, has a light brown coat with dual coloured striping with a darker head and extremeties. A thin four-pointed star mark sits between its yellow eyes. Its antlers are hooked like talons, singed black with only the tip of each tine, of which there are ten, left raw. A prominant eye shaped mark spans the chimera's shoulder. Its tail is a striped snake based on a black headed python. Adopted.

The third, titled Eclipse, has a moss green coat with pale tan stripes and a reddish underbelly. Some of the marks seem to flow into one another. Down the center of its face is a marking in the shape of a barbed sword. Its pale antlers twist elaborately, coiling like snakes; they darken to black toward the roots and tips. A tiny eclipse has manifested where two tines meet, straight above its head. Its tail is a moss-and-tan-coloured snake with pale green eyes. Adopted.

The fourth, titled Dawnbreak, has a mottled coat that reflects the sky; toward the head and rear, the cloud-like patterns darken to a stormy shade of deep indigo, whereas toward the front legs, the colour warms to those of sunrise, becoming more saturated and bright. Thin, wispy white markings decorate the chimera's body. Its antlers bear a pearlescent sheen; they are a swooping shape with many points, meeting toward the back where between them hovers a mote of sunlight. This chimera's tail is a snake with a dark opalescence to its scales. Both heads have pale red eyes, faintly aglow.

little study that turned into playing around with my two favourite shapes: four-pointed stars, and Omen

That's a big one for me! I save so much with the intention of getting to it later, but that's banking on a false security. There is no guarantee it'll still be there when I need it in 3-5 years.

It's a good idea to back up the really important things on a USB or SSD as well! Just in case the computer wipes or is damaged.

When the plug is pulled on Wikipedia or the Internet Archive, there won't be any stone tablets to recover. Future generations can't find lost treasures beneath digital ruins. It'll be our modern day library of Alexandria.

This all sounds very doomer. Not my intention! It's just interesting to me.

Well said. The tides have definitely shifted from connectivity to isolation.

My anxiety also stems from the anticipatory loss being so unnatural and widespread. Knowledge always fades, but over centuries, not instantly under the thumb of bureaucracy.

Information is under attack and the World Wide Web ain't free so it's time to be my own archivist.

It will take a while but I've always been a collector so it will be a labour of love.

I'm currently in my own personal tech recession, and like... is anyone else being hit with the anxiety that for all the time we spend online we have so little to show for it?

Moodboards, reference folders, pins upon pins of craft ideas and techniques, bookmarked blogs, art, assets, tutorials, etc.
