youtu.be/ev8G3y0tHQE?... this dropped and I realized this is the song that is most nostalgic for me. I can’t think of any other piece of music that brings me back to a specific time and place like it does.

More interestingly, the comments (in all languages) show i am not alone

Whenever I go to Shanghai or Tokyo or Hong Kong or Amsterdam or New York I get mega depressed going home to my small town masquerading as a big city. America just has a real dearth of urbanism and I realize the older I get how much I prefer a dense city to the facsimile of it most of America has

Does this chart show us the relative complexity to manufacture these?

For some reason I would have assumed bullet bills are the easiest.

I’ve started to run across TikTok accounts that post all AI videos, usually with 2-3 seconds of some apps UI they’re sort of trying to advertise cut into the middle.

While they look OK, they have clear AI tells and it drives me wild 99% of the comments don’t seem to notice. It’s kind of scary.

Can anyone explain to me the draw of suburbia? More of my friends and people I follow yearn for the suburb recently.

Living in the middle of nowhere in rural areas is not for me, but I get it.

I enjoy living in a dense city where I can have my privacy.

Suburb seems like the worst of both.

Idk why but it really bothers me when all an incumbent’s campaign message is like 80% “the other person is inexperienced”. Like, tell me why your experience is any good???

Some one make a really long video essay on how that one remix of aquatic ambience from donkey Kong country became the theme for nostalgic / old content on TikTok or whatever

I got this TikTok where they get popcorn buckets and drink cups out of the trash and idk if I imagined but it I could have sworn I remember @danryckert.com saying he did this on a bombcast or game informer thing a million years ago.

This is my regular PSA to get pet insurance as soon as possible when you get a pet.

Our claim from when our cat went to the emergency room and unfortunately had to leave us went through and we got $4.3k back and paid only a few hundred bucks for a year of coverage.

Silksong may be an interesting case study in how having no limits or deadline can create a worse product.

I think the game is good but it has so much extraneous cruft you’d usually cut from a game and that stuff makes the final bit really less fun to play.

Maybe it’s a demand thing but in 2022 and 2023 my corpo job had vaccines for flu and covid in the biggest buildings with long lines if you didn’t make an appointment. 2024 had less people getting jabs but similar footprint.

2025? Way smaller buildings, less days, and I was the only one there.
