I'm a big fan of passive investing, but you don't have to own a widely-followed, cap-weighted index. If you own QQQ (Nasdaq 100) then in a week you'll dump Moderna, down 70% in the past 6 mo, for essentially a Ponzi scheme (MicroStrategy) and a meme stock trading at 365 times earnings (Palantir).
