RDJ, Evans, and others returning is symptomatic of Marvel's struggles to make the post-Endgame characters stick. But it hasn't helped that so many of them have had only one appearance. I know some of this is due to Covid and the strikes, but it's bizarre there wasn't a Shang-Chi sequel, for instance

If this is only available on YouTube TV in the US, as it looks like reporting says, then the Oscars left broadcast for a niche cable service. Not for streaming, cause you won’t be able to watch it on YouTube in the US.

Really? Make it make sense.
LOS ANGELES, CA – The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and YouTube signed a multi-year deal that will give YouTube the exclusive global rights to the Oscars®, beginning in 2029 with the 101st Oscars ceremony and running through 2033.

The Academy took the biggest check.

We watched the PBS special on Dick Van Dyke tonight. I got to tell stories about Rob’s dad helming the original Dick Van Dyke show. Rob lived a good and full life. But man it felt like he had more in him. L

Hate the news for too many reasons to count.

I badly want to rewrite that first sentence. "If you ignore 'North,' 'The American President" was next."

Anyway... You're looking at all-timers in like...seven genres or subgenres. He didn't get credit as a great director — zero Oscar nods for directing — because he lacked a "style," but... Man.
Ignore "North" and "American President" as next. That's 8-out-of-9 at the HIGHEST level. To be maybe our greatest rom-com director and throw in a Top 10 coming-of-age movie, an impeccable claustrophobic thriller, perfectly handled Sorkin, THE seminal mockumentary...

All ENDLESSLY rewatchable.
This has to be one of the greatest runs any director has ever experienced.
