A few days too late for Burt Reynolds’ birthday but I was looking at the Dom DeLuise cookbook Eat This…It’ll Make You Feel Better! and found the recipe for Burt’s beef stew.

Fans mourning Bud Cort might be interested to know there is a new book, "Held Over: Harold and Maude at The Westgate Theater,” about the film’s 115-week run at the Minneapolis-area cinema in 1972-74.

That time ‘Harold and Maude’ ran at Edina theater so long that people picketed
Local nonfiction: Minneapolis writer John Gaspard, who was an usher at the Edina venue, wrote a book about the historic run.

Mooseport isn’t great but it’s inoffensive and nowhere near his worst. I always wondered if finally getting to work with Dustin Hoffman on Runaway Jury felt like a good note to start to wrap things up. Loose Cannons is legendarily bad but maybe he just looked at it as another paycheck.

The question shouldn't be who should host The Muppet Show but who should do it who also hosted it back in the day. Rita Moreno and Paul Williams probably go at the top of the list.

Racism has been central to Trump and his movement since he came down the escalator. He is a racist. His people are racists. His defenders are racists. His supporters are racists. His party is a party of racists. If they want to disprove that, they can. But it's important to know they don't want to.

Off the top of my head, may change my mind in five minutes:

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
McCabe & Mrs. Miller
Once Upon a Time in the West
The Ox-Bow Incident
Ride Lonesome
Rio Bravo
Unforgiven
Wagon Master
The Wild Bunch
Off the top of my head, no order:

3:10 to Yuma (1957)
True Grit (2010)
McCabe & Mrs. Miller
Tombstone
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
Slow West
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Man of the West
The Power of the Dog
Unforgiven
Saw a top 10 Westerns list in my feed, so thought I'd do one of my own.
