This book reaffirms everything we all learned from Covid:
1) Rich people suck
2) People can’t handle info vacuums & will make shit up
3)There’s never enough ppl doing caretaking work & too many ppl worrying about things that no longer matter

So this book is about 17th century peasants agreeing to lockdowns that 21st century millionaires lost their minds over. The whole town decided to protect other towns from plague.

Ok most of the murderers died of plague within a week so that’s better than what would happen to them today where they’d probably be appointed CEO of women or something
