Apparently making America healthy again means canceling grants to research how pollutants impact the health of rural children and their development including in utero. If we ignore problems and don’t study the impacts, their theory is those problems don’t exist.

If you are concerned about Medicaid cuts, consider joining the Illinois Alliance for Retired Americans. It is helping to mount a campaign to pressure legislators to reconsider tax cuts funded by Medicaid cuts. It is not welfare but support for low income, disabled, and special needs populations.

Is anyone even slightly surprised that a pastor willing to pray over Trump has now been charged with five counts of lewd and indecent acts with a child? Robert Morris, former pastor of Gateway Baptist Church, was apparently recorded offer to pay for the victim’s silence. Trump is not Christian.

Do not give in to the MAGA Republicans. This CR just empowers Trump and Musk to continue their power grab and shred our government. If Mr Schumer believes this is in the country’s best interest, it may be time to replace Mr. Schumer. Acquiescing to a bully is no way forward!

I think the news reported tonight that Congressional intervention put some of this right, but why precisely should Congressional intervention be needed to stop this level of madness and stupidity? What qualifies any of them to determine what level of service is appropriate for our military veterans?
