The median of this section of Holloway Road, between Loraine Road & Jackson Road, fills up with parked cars on match days. Is it legal to park there on the red route? Is it free parking? Is it first come first served? I can’t find any information online.

Hello @islington-council.bsky.social Please have a chat with your driver who drove fast & aggresively along Tufnell Park Road before parking on the double yellows near the junction to pop in to NK for their shopping. It’s anti-social & unsafe & not a good look for Islington Council.

They're not even new in London. Here is one pictured in 2013. More than a decade of evidence of people using them everyday in all conditions.

Well done @islington-council.bsky.social installing a roadside parking bay near Tufnell Park tube station for Cycle Hire bikes. Makes active travel more convenient, integrates transport modes & reduces the likelihood of nuisance parking cluttering the footpath. @cycleislington.uk

Positive action by Islington Council creating dedicated roadside Cycle Hire parking bays to enable active travel & deal with pavement parking. Car Club bay next to this one in Tufnell Park too, car sharing reducing need for expensive personal car ownership.

Lime Bikes in Nottingham seem to be parked in these pens which make it clear where the to pick up & leave bikes. I’ve seen similar in Paris. Perhaps we could have something similar across London?
